Empathy: L.V.’s friend Allen Massey noted, “She never met a stranger.” Consequently, we seek to understand and share experiences from the inside out, treating people as full human beings. This empathetic approach means that we listen first, then co-create with communities or seek ways to bolster existing efforts, instead of foisting programming upon people. Human-Centered Design frequently guides us.

Creativity: L.V.’s life was dedicated to pursuing her full creative powers. We leverage both the intuitive and analytical dimensions of creativity, not only to craft compelling experiences, but also to design effective solutions to complex problems.

Courage: Despite naysayers who dismissed her work as “junk,” L.V. unapologetically used her creative gift to transform her life and her community. Similarly, courage is frequently required in the transformative initiatives we pursue, particularly as we diverge from the norm to center people who often are overlooked.
